The “home” of the Charlotte Shag Club is Lynn’s, located at 4819 S. Tryon Street near Woodlawn Rd., across from the Embassy Suites Hotel. Although Thursday night is considered Charlotte Shag Club night, Lynn’s is open Wednesday through Saturday night and primarily caters to the shag on most nights with either a DJ or live entertainment.

Lynn ’s is a private club and is owned and operated by Bill Cole. Dues are $10 per year. You can contact Lynn’s at 704-527-3064 or visit their website at www.lynns.20m.com. On Friday and Saturday nights there is a small cover charge for members and guests. Lynn’s can comfortably accommodate around 200 people.

Shag lessons, when scheduled, are held at Lynn’s on Thursday night. They are taught prior to the 8:30 scheduled shag time and run for around 6 weeks. Call Lynn’s for more information.
